With the hard work and dedication exhibited by the Board and staff, and the contribution Hope for Future Generations (HFFG) is making in the fight against HIV/AIDS and the contribution to the reduction in maternal and under five mortality morbidity in the Central Region, HFFG has been made a member of the Central Regional HIV/AIDS Committee (RAC).

HFFG successfully completed and handed over projects to the beneficiaries. Significant among them was the project for families whose children were withdrawn from worst forms of child labour. Production at the gari processing site at Ajumako-Essiam is going on with beneficiaries making a lot of gains. Beneficiaries of this project have bank accounts which they are operating and securing loans from the bank.

Though some of our major projects ended during the year, with the hard work of staff and management, we have been able to secure new projects though their life span is shorter than anticipated/expected.

Beneficiaries of all our projects have actively been involved in all aspects of project planning and implementation. The strategy of setting up community project management committees has made all our projects community owned and sustainable.

The project being implemented with support from AED/SHARP has been very effective in contributing to the fight against HIV/AIDS in the Central region. HFFG, through this project has been able to reach out to about 1200 PLHIV with positive living information and various capacity building trainings for leaders of PLHIV support groups in the region especially women. Women PLHIV’s are taking up leadership roles both at their support group level and at the national level.

The formation of the School Health Clubs by HFFG in all our project communities has gone a long way in the promoting adolescent Sexual and reproductive health including HIV preventive activities and information in schools and communities.

Hope for Future Generations has been noted as one of the best NGOs that forms partnerships and collaborates with all stakeholders in the implementation of projects. At various levels of our projects, we have established very strong partnerships and collaborations to ensure the success and sustainability of our projects.

As a result, HFFG was adjudged the best collaborating NGO in the Mfantsiman District by the District Health Directorate.
